The idea
The main concept of the Memorial of the fall of civilization on Mars is to launch the spear shaped 'time capsule' from the Earth and let it stay on the Mars surface until the year 3000. In the future people will have the proper technology to reach for the capsule and see what the older generations had left for them inside. There will be an entrance to the interior space with the exhibition. The capsule will use the litter from the Earth to show how the human race evolves and what it leaves behind.
Because of the many possible catastrophes that people on Earth may face in the future, the civilization might to extinct before the year 3000. Therefore the Memorial located on Mars may be the last symbol, a relict of the human civilization - how the living oriented towards consumption can lead to destruction and overwhelming amounts of garbage and toxic waste. If the human race will no loger exist, the Museum will become a warning for any other future spieces that may find it and be able to interpret what they see, feel, hear, smell or taste.
The development
There would be a vessel launched from the Earth surface and fly towards the planet - Mars, where it hits the ground and rests forever - the winds of Mars will gradually cover it with the dusta and therefore form and unique place for humans and/or alien species to visit. The vessel would contain leftovers from hedonistic life on Earth, to set a warning for whoever finds it. This is a Memory Monument.
The Mars is the safest place so far for the capsules like this because no one can reach it yet. It will wait for the next generations without any inteferences. Untouched and buried in the dust will be discovered in year 3000 to show how the civilization looked like before.
