BOLLYWOOD FILM CITY TOWER - HONORABLE MENTION
The following is a proposal to create a bollywood film skyscraper in Mumbai - the new type of building made up specificaly for making movies. The designed structure is combination of different shaped areas inspired by the ancient indian stepwells and adapted for artists, maintenance and people from outside comming to see and enjoy the movies. Each cluster has its own purpose: film school, movie theatres and even recording rooms. From the outside people can get to the building by boat. There is also possibility to watch the film ‘on the building’ thanks to built-in LED screens.
Nowadays most of the movies are made in specifically designed environment. Each space is green inside to ease the Computer Grapgics separation of actors and objects located in it. Users can create their own 3D reality by sending photos to studio where they can be displayed in specially prepared rooms.
